OW’s Stories and Contributions

If any OW has a site or collection of Photos, or stories and such like, that he would like to share with other OWs - then please contact me with the details and provide a link. Colin 62-65

Relatives contributions are on the next page.

Hugh Morgan (1918 - 1990) was aboard Worcester II as a Cadet in 1937. He and his family were in East Africa prospecting amongst various other ways of making a living and it makes for fascinating reading.

Hugh was Divisional Officer aboard Worcester III when I was aboard from 1962-65.

Read his very interesting life story supplied  by Keith Broderick OW 63

Bryan Mellonies’s OW 44-46 “scrapbook” of HMS Worcester Memorabilia.
My thanks to his son Steve for making the material available via Keith Broderic OW 63
Jerry Cartwright OW 64-66
Jerry (Hoss) offered these pictures some time ago and they were on the now defunct Forum.
Alan Bridger OW 50-52
Alan has sent in his memories of the Cutty Sark when he was lying next to the Worcester. Also, Clive Bradbury, John Prescott and Martin Tregonning have sent in a few thoughts about the artefacts that Alan remembers in the hold of Cutty Sark. If any Ows have a memory of this then please contact me and I will add your words to this PDF.
Mike Burton-Hopkins OW 61-64
Mike kindly sent these pictures to me for the site and jolly good they are as well.
Rick Kent OW 63-65
Rick sent these pictures to me for the site and here they are in mp4 format.
Cedric Bowell 45-47
Some time ago Cedrick’s Son sent these pictures to me for the site and here they are in mp4 format.
Alan Bridger OW 50-52
I seem to have missed this (2022) PDF written by Alan and published by Sea Breezes. It is about our 2012 150th year reunion in Portsmouth.
